Louise Eddy joined Mermaid Beach Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy Clinic in 1989, becoming the director in 1996. Louise completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy in 1998 and is a titled Sports Physiotherapist. She has also completed her level 3 Clinical Pilates certification, which enables her to be a qualified instructor.
Louise has been involved and travelled with the Australian Touch Football team, Australian Kayaking Team and QAS swimming. She has been involved with Rugby League, AFL, Swimming, Touch Football and Surf Lifesaving from a local level through to the national level.
Louise has a keen interest in shoulder injuries, hip pain especially in women, as well as knee and ankle problems. She is also interested in core and hip stability for decreasing and controlling back, hip and neck pain.
Scott graduated from Bond University with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree after having completed a Bachelor of Physical Education at the University of Alberta in Canada.
He strives to provide patients with exceptional care while utilizing an evidence-based approach to develop rehabilitation programs specific to each individual’s set of goals and impairments. To help patients achieve positive outcomes, Scott applies a combination of hands on manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.
Scott has a strong passion for sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and remains involved working with Bond Football University Football Club. Outside of work, he enjoys contributing to the community and has volunteered for events such as the OXFAM trail walker, Gold Coast Marathon, and APA Conference. Scott also has a keen interest in volleyball and running.
Hayley completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Albury. Originally from Canberra, Hayley moved to Brisbane in early 2013 and then to the Gold Coast in search of a warmer climate.
Hayley has worked in private sports practices since graduating and has a strong passion for sport and musculoskeletal injuries. She is a runner herself and particularly enjoys treating lower limb injuries.
Hayley worked with a rugby team whilst in Canberra and has spent the last 2 years working with a semi-professional AFL team. She loves on-field physio work and will be working with a cricket team during the footy off-season.
Hayley has done further qualifications in Pilates and dry needling, also completing her Sports Level 2 at the end of 2014.
Neil completed his massage studies in Sydney in 2001. He has been practising on the Gold Coast ever since, and has been with the team at Mermaid Beach Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy Clinic since 2006.
With over 12 years of massage experience, Neil is skilled at dealing with a variety of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and complaints. He is passionate about the benefits that massage therapy can bring in enhancing/maintaining quality of movement and good health.
Neil has worked with elite athletes from many different sports. He also enjoys treating sports people and non-sporting people alike, and his clients come from a wide range of ages, professions and sports of all levels.
